Aliso Viejo California Homes for Sale
A planned community, Aliso Viejo was originally part of a 22,000 acre ranch established by the Moulton Family in the 1890s. In 1976, the Mission Viejo company purchased a large tract of this land for its ambitious development, which included the city of Mission Viejo, as well as much of what is now Aliso Viejo. The first Aliso Viejo homes for sale were sold in 1982. As the community grew, it became known for its great variety of secluded, high end homes, and is today one of the most sought after luxury markets in Orange County. Today, prices in the $700,000 range are common for Aliso Viejo real estate.
Aliso Viejo is also notable for its healthy business climate, which has prompted companies like Buy.com, Red 5 Studios, eEye Digital Security, and the Fluor Corporation to set up headquarters here.
