Orange County Real Estate Market Update
February 2007

The National Association of Realtors reports consumers are responding to more favorable housing market conditions and are expecting sales to gradually rise throughout 2007. Time will tell whether or not this holds true locally, but it appears that Orange County will follow this trend as the number of pending sales of homes in many communities is currently increasing. Let's take a look at January statistics.

January 2007 figures for Dana Point show the number of new listings increased 18 percent compared to January 2006. Sold listings were down 31 percent during the same time period and market times increased 27 days or 40 percent. The average sales price increased by $11,535 or 1 percent.
